For an orthodox black tea, GFOP is a genuinely premium classification — what separates The Lockhart Noir from estate teas sold at mass-market grades.

The Lockhart Lux is a silver-tips white tea: minimal processing, delicate honey-floral and apricot notes, and the lowest caffeine of any true tea (15–30mg per cup).     Yes — cold brewing works well for The Lockhart Noir. Add 2g of leaves to 300ml of cold, filtered water and steep in the refrigerator for 8–10 hours. Cold brewing draws out the dark chocolate and caramel notes while softening the spice edge — producing a smooth, full-flavoured cold infusion with no bitterness. A different experience from the hot-brewed cup, worth trying as a chilled drink.
